Center4Tech offers Drone Programming course to teens at Young Inventors Summer Camp 2016

Center4Tech, a leading STEM provider and technology project center in Nigeria is happy to announce the successful completion of her Summer Camp tagged “Young Inventors Summer Camp 2016” The camp started on August 1, 2016 and ended on August 26, 2016 across 8 cities in Nigeria including Ikeja, Lekki, Ogudu, Festac Town, Ogudu, Surulere, Abuja, Port Harcourt and Uyo.


Our mission is to introduce technology to kids and teens early in a fun, very simplified and practical manner with a view to raising a new generation of Scientist, Engineers, Inventors and Entrepreneurs who will become self-reliant with a view to creating jobs for themselves and others”


Courses offered at the camp include:

  • Drone Programming
  • 2D Mobile Games Design and Programming
  • 3D Mobile Games Design using Unity3D Game Engine
  • Electronics Circuit Design and Programming Level 1 and 2
  • 3D Animation Design with Autodesk Maya
  • Media Production (Film Making, Video Editing & Graphic Animation)
  • Renewable Energy


During the training, student participants were tasked with the goal of creating innovative projects prototypes using Electronics Components and Microcontroller as well as Mobile Games, Animation and Photo Editing Software tools.  We are excited to inspire and mentor next generation of inventors using professional-grade software


Moreover, students had fun programming the drone. They created computer programmes that controlled the drones take off, flight and landing. Students competed in teams in a challenge to test the speed, control and maneuvering of their drone. Students also streamed video from the drone's camera.


By giving students the resources needed for success, we hope they will become leaders of the high-tech workforce.

Over 500 participants attended our Young Inventors Summer Camp 2016 across the 8 cities in Nigeria as against 350 that attended in 2015 across 7 cities.  We are excited to see increased in participants this year.
